I hope this finds you warm, dry and well. It’s been quite a start to the year one way and another! And I know that so many people have been feeling quite literally under the weather!
I am writing this post to reassure you about what steps I am taking to protect against Corona virus in my practice, and to offer some top tips you might not find in the mainstream media around boosting your immunity and staying well, alongside keeping calm and not surrendering to the most contagious thing around at the moment – Fear.
Whilst taking seriously the threat in particular to vulnerable individuals, I want to hold some perspective on the current health threat caused by coronavirus and associated illness Covid-19. My stance is to carry on as normal and update my approach daily, based on government guidance.
The current guidance from Public Health England does not recommend cancelling events/ personal appointments. The only advice is to increase personal hygiene (especially hand washing) and for people who have travelled from affected regions to self-isolate if advised to do so by a medical professional. Therefore, for the vast majority of us in the UK, it is business as usual.
I have taken advice from my governing bodies and am assured that I am taking all appropriate steps to protect you. In my practice I (always) wash my hands thoroughly between clients, Use protective anti - bacterial hand-spray, and provide fresh disposable protective couch roll for each client. We also carefully wash all glasses in fresh hot soapy water. If you would prefer to bring your own water bottle, please feel free to do so.
I would also ask that you also take the recommended precautions, and bear in mind that I work with some people with compromised / vulnerable immune systems. In accordance with Government guidelines, I’m asking anyone who has recently attended one of the outbreak areas not to attend face to face sessions even if you have no symptoms. I am very happy to offer sessions over Skype or Whatsapp instead.
If you are someone with a weakened immune system, or live with someone who’s at risk, and would prefer to have sessions over Skype, I am also really happy to offer that to you. Please just give me a call to discuss. 07981992178
